Holiday season is now upon us. It’s cold outside, and one of the things my three girls look forward to after playing in the snow is coming inside to some hot chocolate.
Most of the time, that hits the spot for me. But there are those times, you know what I’m talking about, that you might need your hot chocolate to be a little stronger. 🙂
After surfing the inter-webs, you can quickly get overloaded with recipes for a spiced-up hot chocolate. Using them as inspiration, my wife Whitney and I just put together a recipe with the alcohol we had in the cupboard….and it was delicious; warm, inviting, and satisfying in all the ways I needed. Try this yourself at home. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
4 Cups of Milk
1/2 Cup of Baking Cocoa (or until it meets your chocolate taste requirements)
Honey and Maple syrup — add to taste sweetness preference. About 1/4 cup total
Then in each mug, add 1/2 shot of Tequila, 1 Shot of Brandy
Pinch of cinnamon
Dollop of Cool Whip (or Reddi-Wip) and garnish with more cinnamon
